Tucson Hebrew High is a supplementary high school program for students in grades 9-12. Students attend on Tuesday nights for two to three hours depending on the classes they sign up for. The curriculum covers Jewish history, Hebrew language (for credit), Biblical literature, contemporary issues and a wide range of Judaic courses.
Courses at Hebrew High include special year long classes including A Commitment to Remember, where students work closely with Holocaust survivors and learn about their history. It also includes Panim al Panim, which teaches students how to be leaders in the real world and culminates in a 4 day trip to Washington, DC. In March of the Living, students prepare themselves to go on a 2 week trip to Poland and Israel, which takes them on an up close and personal look at the Holocaust as well as the Israeli Remembrance Day and Independence Day.
